With the increasing need for connected railway telecoms and signalling systems comes the potential for cyber attacks.
Graham Leigh will be presenting “Assessing and tackling the cyber security risks to the rail sector” at this year’s ERTMS & ETCS: The Future of Railway Signalling conference.
The 2020 conference will be held online each morning over a four-day period.
Attendees will be able to hear Graham’s presentation at 10.00 on day 4, Thursday 10th December. His session is just one of those highlighting the latest strategic insight on the plans for successful implementation of ERTMS across the UK and Europe.
The event will look at the latest updates on the current roll out of projects in the UK and look at the progress across Europe, giving you vital insight on lessons learnt from large scale ETCS deployment. The event will also focus on the biggest challenges facing the technical and operational considerations in system integration, GSM-R replacement, and cyber security risks at a time of industry digitalisation. Shelley Robertson, Head of Marketing at Comtest Wireless says “Conferences dedicated to ERTMS offer a valuable opportunity to hear from experts in this highly topical and specialist sector. The Waterfront’s Future of Railway Signalling virtual event this year is a welcome chance to continue to learn what’s new and mix with other like-minded delegates and speakers, in a safe and practical way. We are therefore delighted to be speaking again, especially on a new subject area for us – security monitoring using cyber sniffers.”
