16 – 17 May – London
Comtest Wireless is pleased to announce that it has been selected to present a paper at the 8th International Conference on Railway Engineering in London next year.
About the Paper
The first part of this paper examines standalone and integrated on-board and wayside monitoring systems.
The second part determines how the analytical tools of these systems can be used to predict and plan systems maintenance to realise the positive cost benefits associated with ERTMS .
Rail infrastructure operators, vendors and contractors will gain insights from the cited examples and case studies and learn how effective proactive ERTMS systems-wide monitoring and the use of ‘value engineering’ can reduce costs and improve efficiencies.
About the conference
The International Conference on Railway Engineering (ICRE) is a two day event that has been specifically designed to provide a forum for sharing knowledge and experience; promoting collaboration among practitioners; and showcasing the latest development and applications of new technologies in railway engineering.
The conference has previously been organised every three years by the Hong Kong Railway Transport Section and, due to the huge success and popularity, the event now takes place in the interim years in the UK and EU, running in Brussels for the first time in 2016 and London in 2018.
The conference will examine and showcase new ideas, technologies and developments that have the potential to address questions such as these whilst ensuring that our railways continue to grow and improve into the 21st Century.
The technical scope for ICRE 2018 will focus on the following core theme areas.
- Safety and reliability
- Train control systems
- System integration
- Rolling stock
- Energy and sustainability
- Customer experience
- Emerging technologies
